Christ’s death on the cross, and the spilling of His blood, gained eternal salvation and everlasting life for anyone who believes in Him. The blood sacrifices that were the basis of Jewish religious rites merely covered over sin; the blood of Christ completely removed the stain of sin. In addition, Christians have the promise that God not only forgives our sins, but He completely forgets them! As final proof that Jesus was the Lamb of God and fulfilled the promises of Passover, Jesus is portrayed as a victorious, slain Lamb in the Book of Revelation (Revelation 5:5-14). heart beating heart wings heart wings heart wings
