Action speaks louder than words

I was introduced to guy by a friend and we start getting to know each other. He said to me this " I promise i will never hurt you like what other men did to you. You will be mine and i will make you happy.You don't know how much you give smile to myself." Okey, sounds very common to my ear. One time i cracked a joke that i didn't mean anything and from then on he stopped calling me. I texted him and no response.

Well anyway.. who cares..spam spam

so i joked the next he would still call me "sister" i will not speak to him. Did he take the joke seriously or he is just a sensitive person?
