Well according to the religious ones they step out of them and accend to heaven or somewhere else leaving whats left to be disposed of by the living. If they have relatives they pay for it in my country if not the government gives them a paupers send off. Thats a cheap burial but does it matter there dead.cheers wave
In Los Angeles County, State of California, the homeless are cremated and the ashes are buried with other homeless cremations if they are unclaimed. I think I read about 30 boxes to a grave.

the Medical examiner tries to find their family from their identity - they are cremated usually. In Miami-Dade County, Florida they hold a memorial in December for all the people who died homeless on the streets that year with their names on a listing, a candlelight rememberance. Some as young as 6 months old to as old as 80 - tho' most are young - life on the streets is not kind to people. The service is usually on Friday December 21st at noon in the City of Miami government center.
