I can't think of anyone I know that hasn't been picked up for either public tox, DWI, DUI...so no need to judge, usually being in jail for 6 hrs is more than enough, and they'll never do it again..

i was not even trying to judge because i am sure that happened in my country also. it's just shocking for me because i never talked to them before and i didnt expect i will "find" such thing here on cs. that's all.
well the lady whipped me, smacked me, tortured me, and had her way with me, there was not a thing i could do........

It's a messed up system here in the states though... it's like taking a kid to the candy shop, but punishing him/her for wanting or getting candy...LOL

there is no perfect system in this world, i suppose. but at least there is something to prevent kids from getting the candy without paying so they will not be punished.

something as simple as theft (or attempted theft) can land someone in jail but if you steal enough of it, you wont ever do any time.
how many CEO's of multi billion dollar corporations have stolen from the american public and went bankrupt or otherwise in the manner totaling a billion dollars or more? they usually get some no-name underling to take the blame, bribe the justice system and even HE (or she *ahem martha stewart *ahem) either does very little prison time or none at all!!
so basically, if you are going to steal money, steal a LOT of it. if you are just a small time bank robber, the judge will make an example out of you and you will be given 40+ yrs or even life... (because, hey - you arent stealing enough to be of any political influence and the bribe you may want to give the judge just isnt as much as he/she wants)
just sad all around...

I understand that injustice is every where. but sooner or later i am sure there will be ultimate justice. some people maybe "untouchable" now .. they seem to still be able to escape and even laugh. but i am sure they will pay for what they did and do..! oh well.. it's only if you believe in karma or believe in God.
meanwhile, i will always try to stay away from "troubles"
