Amen!!!
The three stages of salvation (justification, sanctification, glorification) are connected to the gospel, and therefore, are "essential" to our salvation. Without these being true, there would be "no possibility" of salvation. This is why one can't afford to compromise truth ("essentials of our faith"),for the sake of unity. For there is no true unity, without unity in the truth.
Justification saves us from the past penalty of sin (Rom. 3-5). Sanctification saves us from the present power of sin (Rom. 6-7). Glorification saves us from the future presence of sin (Rom. 8).
I agree, what you have said, in regards to the warnings passages of the Bible. For the warning passages of the Bible are not incompatible with love.
I would think any father who really loves his little son, who sees him by the edge of a cliff would warn him to get back.
The fact, that someone cares enough to warn, is not an indication that their unloving. It might be an indication that there "really loving" and are warning you of some consequences that are going to come, if you don't turn around and go the other direction (repent).
Do you despise the riches of His goodness, forebearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads to repentance? (Rom. 2:4).
God bless you richly! Serendipity
