Blogs Argument's

People seem to be losing their sense of boundaries more and more, what people are willing to put up on the internet, especially blogs. People seem to assume that only their friends are going to read it but anyone in the world could read it at any time. You know, some of the good part of blog theory was that blogs would be like diaries that the world could read. They would be spontaneous, whatever pops into your mind, as a diary would be. Well, there are more writers of blogs right now than there are readers, so that's clearly a vanity phenomenon. But., A newspaper is the center of a community, it's one of the tent poles of the community, and that's not going to be replaced by Web sites and blogs. Zeus6017

I have had several employers who as a condition of hiring require all of your email addresses and website user names (sometimes backed up by a polygraph to ensure you didn't forget any) and access to your social sites, then they look at everything you ever wrote to see if hiring you could lead to their being embarrassed at a future date if someone else found the old post/thread. If all is cool you get hired like I did, but if not, you get an email saying thank you for applying, but we hired someone else, good luck to you. laugh

Agree with the OP...scold one shouldn't post more than one is prepared to discuss with another in real life...snooty sniff...sniff....laugh
Thanks, this picture just brought me a message from a 17 year old Dude ...uh oh
Yeah well, I admit sometimes I'm vain. Anything wrong with that? Sometimes people are judgmental, anything wrong with that too? uh oh
I'm pretty sure all of my blogs will some day be listed under some heading pertaining to cures for insomnia so I'm not too worried about what I post here or anywhere. tongue
zeus you look like an older 10 k, any relation?
Malta is so small they are all cousins grin
yes Choco, 100 percent agree with you, we all get older so does he.dunno
@ lukeon - some have raised that and some (a minority) of State legislators agree. However the majority of the authorities seem to be taking the position it is consensual since you have no inherent right to work for any specific employer and if you choose to willingly apply for the job, then sign a consent to be investigated, then willingly provide the needed information, well, that was your right to provide it if you so chose as a condition leading up to the employment. You always had/have the right to just say no, and go someplace else.
stefftongue
yes it could be him, come on 10 k say heylaugh
Just my view on BLOGS- People have the insight or should to voice their opinions....but it sure makes me sort of mad when they use one of my blogs not for that purpose, but selfishly use it to say Hi to someone & ask about "their business" . I think that is also a boundary that really SHOULD be "respected". They should curb it!!!! Learn how to be polite & think of the bloger & their questions or opinions on what each person writes. -I know I would appreciate it.
steffffie Chicago, Illinois US..... if Malta is so small and we are all cousins, then my friend that means we all all family... unlike where you come from all strangers and no relations to community. By the way for the record.... 500,000 people live here and with different surnames. wave comfort
