@Go Daniel, I was really looking for a video of the song Feelings. Got to hear the composer's version, Ella Fitzgerald's, Julio Iglesias' and Shirley Bassey's and Nina's. I'm just intrigued by the way she sang it. Reading the you tube commenters, it seems like she really was on a high. I never had drugs in all my 56 yrs of life. But from what I've seen here, even in my work place, there are ordinary people who are on it. To each, his own. I don't want to meddle as long as I'm not affected. Drug peddlers are bad. But only because there are those who patronize their products. I just believe that there won't be sellers if there are no buyers. Not really sure why really such good talents need to have it when their pure talents alone can get them ahead. And thanks for taking time out.bouquet
And Oh, Simon Cowell would rip her apart simply because he's into beautiful women singers.grin
Tatami- I still say Simon would tear her apart because she's pretty bad
barf barf she definitely is no Kelly Clarkson
Maybe it's her style or that the French have a weird way. Oh, I'm already sleepy. Sorry to bother you with my choice. Good night!bouquet

So many here with no knowledge of history. dunno

The Nina Simone pictured was a fairly controversial person in the 60s and 70s. She died in 2003. This was not her usual music style before her flight from America but anger and medications led her to develop a style of audience participation and silence as part of her performances. She has a lengthy recording history going back to way before the U tube or even the video era. John Lennon (of the Beatles) was a big fan of her work. Suffice to say I have some of her 78s as well as 45s and 33s by her. I believe musically her rendition of 'I put a spell on you' is perhaps her most famous.

professor Good You Tube find. beer

Thanks Ken for enlightening us.I was really looking for the song Feelings and I was really intrigued by her rendition. I never played the piano though I like listening to it. Her piano was awesome and her monologue added intensity to the song. At times, depending on my mood, I search youtube for music. Whatever I discover that seem nice to share, I get the link. I do want to sing that song myself and upload it but very busy right now. Goodnight everyone and thanks for viewing.bouquet
