what are your thoughts.Agree or disagree?

A friend of mine gave me advice on relationships.she said ''Everyone is/will be looking for someone that just puts the icing on the cake.i believe that we should look for a person that shares our personality's strength and weaknesses.The perfect fit for one own individuality.

I think we can agree to disagree on this one. I again believe that partners should supplement each other. You should be strong in the things that your partner is weak and vice verca.

But then just my opinion.

Well, the "Law of Attraction" says that "Like attracts Like"... but, it is known that also opposites attract.

You are not looking for someone who "supplements" us, nor make us "complete" - as we are supposed to be complete in ourselves! -, but someone who "complements" us and keeps the balance.
Ideally, our "perfect" match should be someone just like us, a duplicate of us or our "clone" but... would we be able to live with someone like us?

We need someone with similarities, hobbies & interests, like-minded etc., but with different personality traits.

Lord no doll, why would I want to be with somebody just like me ? I can barely tolerate myself, much less alone a partner with same personality as mine ! But than again , I am one hot piece of fun

i think we should be with someone who actually has opposite strength and weakness,that way one person can hold the other up when its needed.In other words,his weaknesses are your strength and vice versa.
