The Book: "I Am Malala"!

A couple of weeks ago I got off my lazy carcass and went to the library to check this book out since it caught my interest quite a while back.

I am very interested in human rights so I needed to read what this courageous young lady had to say. Contrary to what bullies and feminists think God does not put man "over" woman. In fact God demands that we men love, respect and protect our wives and that we listen and DISCUSS all matters pertaining to the household. Now, this is where the confusion or just plain fodder for the bully comes from, God wants men to be the head of the household. And after a discussion on any matter comes to the point that there is no agreement then and only then does God want man's decision to be the final say. BUT WITH LOVE AND NOT A FIST OR HARSH WORDS!!!

What does that have to do with the book? EVERYTHING! Although this family had 2 sons the father chose his daughter Malala to be the impetus in his decision to put a school together and teach both boys AND girls. He encouraged her to be a high point and to be competitive. No, he didn't forget his sons and he loved them very much too. But Malala was the oldest so, in a manner of speaking, she was put ahead in all school matters.

Malala's father taught her well. He made her strong, in fact so strong, that when the coward Taliban shot this young lady in the face to murder her she made it through with the help of her parents and her brothers! Yes, it was a family thing in every aspect!

I gave this book much thought and I thought about my daughters a whole lot. How we have this wonderful relationship that we share and we encourage each other. So, as you can see, this book meant alot to me. I also have a son and I love him equally. But he has everything going for him and we still discuss matters like father son things.

But my daughters! My sweet and loving daughters! They too have succeeded in life and I hope that our loving relationship had everything to do with it!

Thanks for letting me know you checked. Did you like my "SON of" county signs comment on some silly single irresponsible man's funny?? I still laugh about it.

Yes, and pray daily because the Lord wants us to. No man on earth can judge us. Only the Creator and HE says to acknowledge HIM and pray!! Amen!!

Leah!

I plan on buying the book one day when I get off my lazy carcass again. That way I can keep reading it. Did you see the picture of Malala and her Dad on the back cover. She just looks at him with the loving eyes and heart of a daughter! That really touched me.!
