Windy Sunday

Every second Sunday of the month is clean up day in this govt housing. Unfortunately last Sunday was snowing so that was cancelled and re-scheduled today. While I was sweeping the stairs, an old lady told me my effort was useless as the wind was strong. I just smiled. I've got a wind vane imbed in be so most of the time I just made one swish and all the dust and small garbage was gone. No sweat! Where did they go? They better asked the wind!grin

Lovely morning for you my dear Tatami.

first thank you so much for your participation on my blog. Second, yes that wind is so busy on its own, always. Wheww you should check the typhoon Haiyan that devastated my native country? At a force of 256 miles and hour and wiped out everything in its path?

But anyways, I like the last line, they'd better ask the wind>>>

Stay warm and drink tea Tatami. It is going to be a chilly day for us here in California today, No rain yet and we need more.

Take care.

@Zman, thanks for being my first! Really windy and the air is freezing. Even if the sun is shining bright and sky is blue, if the wind is strong, using 2 gloves one on top of the other isn't enough. Cleaning time is only one hr but on times like this most spent only like 20 mins. There are those who are faithful and finish the hr. If I skip the cleaning, I'd be fined something like 10 US dollars. That's like my hour rate in the factory. It's not much but if I keep on skipping it, after 12 months, it's quite a sum.
@Ummka, thanks for the flower. I shld have made a blog last Feb 14, so I could recieve one like this. Here in Japan, on Valentines Day, the men are to be given chocolates and/or flowers. I simply miss the time I was still teaching in my home country. I used to receive flowers from my students, especially those who were keen on receiving high grades.rolling on the floor laughing
I appreciate very much people who viewed esp people who made efforts to comment and share ideas. heart wings bouquet
@Sunday, thanks for dropping by. And your native country is my native country too. My brother who's living in Panay Is, was hit too though very mild since only two iron roofings were damaged yet they changed the whole thing. In a couple of months, me and my son would be visiting the Phils and I promised to see them too. Hope no such thing would ever happen to our country. Ours isn't America nor Japan. Govt support is near nil. Really sad! bouquet
Wow what a small world my dear Tatami. Now you give me goose bump because part of the reason I forced my retirement for the second time albeit against my better judgment financially is because I want to go and help. A friend of mine is in the process of helping in the manifest of the donations from UN.

But for right now, I am taking it easy. Worked for the last 35 years and I am still adjusting. I am originally from Ilocos Norte and moved here in the states in the early 80s.

I still go and visit and I am planning this coming months.

Take care and feel free to mail me.
