There has to be a man that loves God the way I do
There has got to be a man with words and actions that are true
I want to give up and just live this life alone
But may God forbid such a thing for me to be on my own
Without a face to kiss
A time to reminisce
A warm soul to embrace
A tear to erase
I am just a woman who loves deep and strong
My love is eternal yes on and on
I am just a woman with a heart of gold
Though my happiness has been sold
Remnants of joy rest in my soul
As I hold on for dear life in the cold
Cold world of relationships and passing ships
Believing the lies that roll off his lips
Because I want to be loved I want to believe
Because I know in my heart I am being deceived
And I trade in my common sense for a taste
And my pearls spent for nothing…what a waste
My God help me to help myself out of this destructive whirlwind
I can’t see where my love for myself ended and this loveless begins
