The Wheat and the Tares

"The enemy’s purpose in sowing tares was to destroy the wheat. But the wise farmer will not allow the enemy to succeed. Instead, He will sort it out at harvest time.
As applied to the kingdom community, this parable teaches us that it is not our job to sort the tares from the wheat. That is only done at the time of harvest. Among God’s people, there may be some who are not genuine Christians, but it is God’s job to sort out false professors." David Guzik, Pastor

"Satan thus sows false doctrine in darkness. In the very place where the truth is preached, and while the hearts of people are open to receive it, by false but plausible teachers satan takes care to inculcate false sentiments. Often it is one of his arts, in a revival of religion, to spread secretly dangerous notions of piety. Multitudes are persuaded that they are Christians who are deceived. They are awakened, convicted, and alarmed. They take this for conversion. Or they find their burden gone; they fancy that they hear a voice; or a text of Scripture is “brought” to them, saying that their sins are forgiven; or they see Christ hanging on the cross in a vision; or they dream that their sins are pardoned, and they suppose they are Christians. But they are deceived. None of these things are any conclusive evidence of piety. All these may exist, and still there be no true love to God or Christ, and no real hatred of sin and change of heart. An enemy may do it to deceive them, and to bring dishonor on religion and the true believer’s relationship with God." Albert Barnes, Theologian

The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares
Another parable Jesus put forth to the people, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man (farmer) who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares (darnel/weeds) among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

The Parable of the Tares Explained
Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”
He answered and said to them: “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man (Jesus). The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons and daughters (believers) of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons and daughters (nonbelievers) of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares (nonbelievers) are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous (believers) will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. The person who has ears to hear, let him hear! My friend,
Beautiful thoughts I want to say thanks for your blog.
How to compare cultivation and public ( human ) that's nice.
Good former how to save his crops from enemy just like good
Government save their public from terrorism.
Sista Callie I have read the bible and although my memory is such that I cannot quote from memory It does come to me as you tell the story of the farmer and the wheat from Matthew. I am at a time where religion has come back into my life that was not there as a young person and I search for answers with all the troubles going on in the world. We need to share the bible with the young which I would have never done in my young life. Thanks for sharing this morning.
Great blog Sista!hug

I remember once when I was visiting my couisin, who was a catholic priest. We got on the topic of sin and he was emphatic about God forgiving any sin. I said no, God does not forgive the unpardonable sin which is blaspheming the Holy Spirit. He said I was wrong about that. I gave him the chapter and verse for him to look it up. Don't know if he ever did.dunno

Bottom line...It is important that we learn scripture well so we can use it when needed!
My friend,
Thanks you so much for your concern ,
I know I do many mistake here but you save
Me like good former save his crops.
Thanks.
48jojo, Thanks for your comment. You're no different than a lot of people/us who fell by the wayside, and PRAISE GOD!... you've returned, back to a loving and faithful God who is full of grace and mercy, heaven rejoices.applause And this is most important to God, because He calls the backsliders back to Him and forgives us all when we wonder away from home.

Yes, God commands us to teach our children about Him, train up a child in the way he/she should go, and when he/she gets older they will not DEPART from the training of knowing God with respect. Notice,God doesn't say, they will not STRAY, but He declares that they will not depart. Departing and stray have two different meaning. To depart is to mean turn his/her back completely away from God. We all have strayed away from God, at one time or another, but not many totally DEPARTED from the teachings of the Lord, if they have been taught/trained as a child about the love of Christ.

God says, He's going to hold us/parents/adults responsible for either teaching their children about Him, or for not doing so. Many young children/youths, know nothing about the goodness of the Lord, and grow up not knowing, and some speak hateful words against God. Well, much is because their parents never taught them anything about the Lord as children. Then you have those young people who will go in search of God for themselves if they had no teachings of God in the home, just to see what all the hoopla is all about, and they end up being faithful in service to him.

I thank God for your return back to your FIRST LOVE!! Be proud and stay encouraged in the power of God's might. cheering yay

What about people who have a wheat intolerance?
Orien, its obvious you missed'the concept of THE parable... in your'effort to be funny and/or a smart mouth... if you have a wheat intolerance, I suppose'this is why God classifies those with such as TARES. You're either wheat or tare.

Which are you?
