Is anyone NOT damaged from their past relationship

They say that if you experience a death, move, a major life change etc too close together it can take the strongest of us down. I am here to tell you to lock away the baggage and move forward. My grandfather loved my grandmother so much he self-isolated after she died. He lived another 20 years after her death...and I saw his little rituals go to full blown dementia...and it didn't have to be that way!

I only look back so I don't re-create the past that hurt me. Then you are open for loving someone without the baggage that has made our divorce rate incredible.

For anyone struggling in a marriage or ending one, I went to a great boot camp at a small church. It was put on by Joel and Kathy dot com, also known as best marriage dot com. I sit in on conference calls just to overcome loneliness some nights. I credit my friend Carol for forcing me to attend a 3-day looooong marriage intensive, even though I was getting divorced. Now I know how a man should treat me, and the resulting win for them when they learn to be great husbands.

Hope I've helped someone. Be good to your spouse..it's a win-win. Watch Kathy and Joel's testimony...moving and lessons to be learned. Nothing in it for me except to thank them for allowing me to audit what should be private pain results in real effort for healing in all ways.

A work in progress....handshake

At my age, tis difficult to meet anyone who is not somewhat tainted from previous experiences. We can learn from experiences and then we either choose to dwell, work on it, or move on.

Let's say I'm in the transitional phase....handshake

You sound like you've made some very positive moves, for yourself, in the healing process.

Good on you...wine
