Pay Attention to What Your Body is Telling You

I have been suffering from acid reflux GERD for many years now. The doctors have been pumping me with Acid Blockers for years. When my body gets immune to one, than I have to on to another. When that one no longer works than what. After many years of suffering with Chronic Fatigue Low Immune System, and a whole host of illness, I have recently learned it is what I put in my body that`s the culprit. I have been researching the natural remedies and proper eating habits to clean my system of the junk accumulated through out the years to improve my heath and stamina. I am finding out that it affects not just your body, but also your mind. It can cause you to make poor decisions, and have broken relationships. I`m now just starting the new lifestyle, and I will keep you posted in how this changes my life. Thanks for listening, and have a wonderful day.applause

Hi Carey,

A good natural remedy is organic apple cider vinegar! It will alkalize your system. It is also good to get rid of arthritic inflammation. Also for acid reflux, drink some bacon soda before you eat or after you eat.

Hope this helps.

I had the same/and doctors same pills or new ones

then I realized it was all in what I was eating

no more eating those kind of food/acid reflux and pills-freethumbs up
I heard smoking cigars cures it too.
Thanks for sharing Carey,
Vegetable and fruits are the best we can give to our bodies. Drink them in juices, eat them raw, or make them into smoothies. I love my green leafy cabbages with tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots combo all juiced up every morning. Like you , I went through a whole lot of health problems and I was on medication on and off for a long period too. After changing my diet to more veges and fruits, I finally found the cure for my illness and I have never felt so good health wise. Tried a juice fast for 9 days and man, that was the best I've ever done to myself. Anyway, good luck and keep us posted here. hug hug hug

Sure you are on the right path so just keep iit up. Someone I met some years back cured himself completely just by changing his diet. He has been living without taking any medication for years and never felt better.
Hi carey wave
good for you and i'd agree with your way of thinking...
but that being said, comming off meds depending ones health conditions is not the answer for all.

A friend of mine died as a result of thinking she could fix her own health more so than her meds...
not trying to put a downer on your blog however.. just incase it might encourage others to maybe do the same..one shouldn't give up their meds without caution or advice.

Best of luck to you in your new lifestyle...
long may it continue in your wellbeing wine
Hi Carey, wave I had to take stuff for acid reflux for a while and it was actually a doctor who told me that there are no studies done about long-term usage and to get off them. I managed by taking some food supplements and Gaviscon when needed. BTW, there are studies out now and they show serious side effects!

There are "wealth" illnesses that can be cured with a change of diet and taking food supplements. In case anyone is interested, have a look at Patrick Holfords books. I would also advice to talk to a nutritionist from time to time and not just throw in everything together.

If someone is sick, talking to a good doctor you trust in should always be the first call methinks. My GP at home is big into healthy lifestyle etc. conversing

Hope all continues to go well for you! bouquet
