"'WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT"

When I came to Antigua I lend some money to several different people,nobody paid back....one couple told me,that their Son had got into a University in USA,but that they did not have money,because they had not got sold a land they owned yet....the man was a Teacher in my Sons school,so I trust them,about one year later,I realize,that whole the family had left for USA and the land they owned was already sold.

My Father and Mother had 11 hectare of land in Finland and when my Mother died,(my Father died earlier)she had such a nice amount of money as also very valuable old stuff she had inherited from her wealthy own family,like a 300 year old rug,that was identified as the oldest rug in that big city area.

I gave all these valued stuff to my Sister and even in that time she was like shocked,telling me,that is it sure,that I want nothing.....

But then she start to grab everything else too....about the money in the Bank,she told me,,that our Mother had wanted the money to go to her Daughter.

She wanted the two store House,where she already was living,together with her Daughter and her family.

Then she wanted all land,about 5 hectare,that had the rights already to be sold as expensive plots,leaving to me 6 hectare green land,with only rights to one plot.

Then she still change her opinion,telling me,that if I could give her additional 2 hectare,that had more wood,so that she could use it to heat the House....yes,I gave even that to her.

All was because I did not want to fight with her....but then the official people told,that it take perhaps some years to split these land in two pieces,so we made it just in official papers,that we owned it half and half to got the thing done.

Now in Finland you have to pay tax every year for the land you own and the tax amount is valued by how valuable the land and also the House are.

So she got in value about 80 % of all,because my land had not much value,but I had to pay 50% still tax,because in the papers we owned half,half.

I realized that after about 10 years and told her,that I had paid and still paid her tax,but she did not accept that and even the man that took care of my paperwork in Finland,when I was in Antigua call her about it,because he came fed up with her way of using me wrong in everything....still she did not accept it.

In 2004 I finally decided,that I have no Sister anymore and I have not had any contact with her after that.

when I told about it to one person here in Antigua,but also,that both my Father and my Mother gave all the blessing to me,when they died,he told to me,"you know,you still got much more than your Sister".....my Father and my ex Sister was like enemies to each other the last year before he died and my Mother wanted her out from the Hospital room on the last night when she died...there we was me and my Mother together,she keeping my hand with her two hands,for hours that night.

I liked Ash cause she was a complete nut but a nice nut.

In the 6 years I've been here I've seen people come and go and later come back under a totally different identity.
