I particularly like the way they seem to educate their children to have a health high self esteem. I could be wrong here, but on U.S. T.V. regardless of age, American students, schoolkids from all socio economic backgrounds, seem to have this huge amount of self esteem... I am only concluding it is something that is instilled in to them in school ? To have Self respect, ~That they are worth something.
Of course it comes from good parenting too....
However, if you give an Irish person a compliment 'You are very pretty' 'Wow your Artwork is terrific' 'You are a very stylishly dressed man' they are likely to be embarrassed, put themselves or what you have admired down subtly, but they don't smile broadly
