"if I had a penny for every penny I didn't have."
would I be any the wiser?
Sometimes I feel like I should be a bit bad, as being too nice has always put me in trouble. Is it good to be bad sometimes ?
Resolving to start reversing the 15 pound weight loss of the past month I try new things for breakfast.
An 'Irish' woman had suggested mashing a banana and an egg together and either frying it as a pancake or microwaving it in a bowl. So I did that, but with two eggs. Very interesting, quite tasty. Surprized to see something so clever come out of Ireland (where Google swears she is).
That done, I was still hungry. So I decided to freeze my stomach.
Take a large 7-11 slurpee cup. Mix well two packs of Carnation Instant Breakfast Vanilla flavored and milk. Add a dash of heavy cream. Add 4 large scoops of Vanilla ice cream. Add more milk till full. Sip slowly in front of the morning telly. Ahhh, brain freeze of the belly. Good feeling.
Make yourself necessary to someone
Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can
disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you
meet. To make all your friends feel that there is
something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
Not in loud words but great deeds. To live in faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.
If you catch yourself in a cycle of trying to change
someone, or defending yourself against someone who is trying to change you, walk away. But if you are pursuing a dream, take another step. And don’t forget that sometimes this step will involve modifying your dream, or planning a new one, it’s
OK to change your mind or have more than one dream...
The truth about love is that it is so bound up with regret that it seems impossible to separate the two. You regret the words you said, which you didn’t realize would come out so badly. You regret how vulnerable you let yourself be, how you cracked open your chest to reveal your still beating heart.
You regret all the chances you gave, the forgiveness you bled so freely. You regret the time not spent together, the days you sat side by side on the couch both engrossed in your laptops. You regret the time wasted arguing or sulking or spent in a state of deliberate misunderstanding.
You regret the beginning, because it could only ever lead to this. You regret the ending, because of everything you’ll never get back. You try so hard not to regret everything in between, but you do. You do.
I was just on my way back from a movie when I was looking out into the night sky. Parking my car, the stillness of the night revealed the lively chirping of the crickets.
lol
awkward transition here....:)
It is often said as we go through life, we will discover our purpose of life. Don't you often wonder if there has to be more to life than just waking up, doing your routine, going to sleep, only to wake up to do the same thing over and over and over and over and over....okay, you get the picture.
Have you discovered your purpose? Do you believe we have a purpose? I can imagine a lot of people will say that their children are their purpose. That could be. Is it really your purpose if you are doing it for "my" child/children? That just sounds a little selfish to me (what do I know). Maybe they might be a hint or a path to your purpose??? I really do not know.
I cannot say I have discovered my purpose yet. I live my life trying to leave people better off (even if just so slightly) than they were before they met me. I might give them a genuine compliment, give them a constructive criticism, help them with something, give my non-bias advice/opinion, or give them few extra bucks to help them through this difficult life. Is this my purpose? I do not know.
What do you all think? Do we have a purpose? Do we have no purpose? If you think there is a purpose each of us have in life and you think you discovered yours....do you care to share it here? If so....let's hear it. :)
you are told that you cannot make it because your too fat, too slim, too dark, too fair, too thin. Laugh and say adversity knows not my name. When they tread on your heart and kick you to the curb, get up out of the gutter using these words you have heard. I was told I can't help you, your not famous enough or rich, they never knew I was clever, they thought I was thick. When it comes to your own life you will be all right. Failure is just another way not to do something and takes you closer to your dreams. GET UP and STAND, say I am victorious without your permission. Greatness lays within you just dig deeper and be an overcomer. Today you have 1st place. Keep pushing, keep going, continue up the hill until you are
