I see lots of conservative resistance toward gun control, complaining about a loss of human rights. Basically the 2nd amendment and gun issue is a painted by a broad brushstroke that cannot separate what type of guns can or cannot be allowed under the law.
In a previous blog I mentioned nothing will get done and nothing will be fixed. There is too much at stake from those in fear of a government uprising and without guns the well-regulated militia cannot defend the citizens of this country.
Being saturated in YouTube videos this holiday weekend, I clicked a link where actress Alyssa Milano addresses the abortion rights. She goes through some interesting history and background as to women and their possible loss of human rights should the 1973 US Supreme Court decision on Roe vs. Wade be overturned.
Personally, I've been avoiding the issue and still am. I post this blog as being informative perspective of things I didn't know about nor followed.
In the video Alyssa cites some examples of how this could lead to the government infringing on women's rights... something akin to those in fear of losing their rights to defend themselves should the 2nd amendment reclassify what weapons can be obtained by the average citizen.
Welp, here I go again.
I went through some kind of hellish things a few years back, and I coped by spewing all of my angst online. For some reason, journaling just to myself doesn’t do the trick - apparently I need a more public (if anonymous) confessional.
Anyway, I moved across the country away from the Terrible Things - to a beautiful place and a fresh start. I didn’t feel the need to write any more.
But then…there came some more Terrible Things. I dealt with them and squished those annoying feelings down, down, down. This is always my preferred strategy.
Unfortunately, squished feelings like to kind of ooze out sideways. Maybe you develop an autoimmune disorder. Maybe you get shingles. Maybe you can’t sleep without a pill.
So you see a therapist, who confirms that yucky feelings can’t stay squished forever, and we begin the process of un-squishing. Unpleasantness, that!
Therapist lady asks what I do to cope when Terrible Things happen. I’m at a loss, because when the Terrible Things come, I’m the one who has to fix it, to rescue my pups. No time for coping!
Then I remembered about pixel-venting. How it felt kind of good letting all that go, and allowing it to be read by folks who have no idea who I am.
There is no such thing as happily-ever-after. Sometimes you have to physically escape a bad situation, but the bad things don’t stop just because the geography changes, and those squished feelings…they definitely follow you.
So I’m gonna try online catharsis again. If anyone reads it, they may find it whiny and self-absorbed. They may find it horrifying. They may find it entertaining.
If it bores or annoys you, I apologize in advance and encourage the reader to scroll on by. Otherwise…enjoy!

I do math often in my business and possibly more at CS. There is a high percentage of young widows registered on CS in the 30 to 35ish range looking to find a husband in the 60 to 99 range. Logically, with the separation of over 30 years that would greatly improve their odds of becoming a double widow. Logically... So maybe there is benefit to doing so.

A 26 year old woman blamed her GPS when her SUV got stuck going down a flight of stairs at a parking garage. Police seem to think it was her excessive blood alcohol level!

The Urban Dictionary describes a 'Karen' as a pejorative name associated with middle-aged women, typically blonde, who make solutions to others' problems an inconvenience to them.
For example, a Karen refusing to wear a face mask for her 5 minute trip to the supermarket during a pandemic. She will harass the workers, demand to see the manager and threaten to sue.
I cleared my browser cache and returning to YouTube some new 'Karen' videos were suggested. I would have thought by now these women would have calmed down, but it's done the opposite way!
The attached video has some Karen's found at the airport and a woman who wants to purchase alcohol and pay with her Platinum American Express but refuses to show I.D.
All that fuss for something required by law.
