Who is your favorite Author? ( Archived) (65)

I have two, at opposite ends of the literary spectrum:-

J R R Tolkien

John Grisham

Robert Heinlein

This is next to impossible for me to answer, Bierce, Poe, Frost, Jordan, Anthony, Brooks, Burroughs, Bach, Mozart, Parton, Rogers, Spielberg, King, Hitchcock, sheesh the list just goes on and on. All have such wonderful ability to transpose their imaginations and ideas into literary works or musical compositions etc, that inspire the imaginations of the readers, listeners, or viewers and that to me is what makes an author great which in turn makes them a favorite of mine to read. I wish I could narrow it down further but I just can't and I have left off at least 40 or so others I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy...

Sorry for such a messy and multiple listing, I just can't lock down on any one single author I would choose over another, each has their distinct method and way of showing their thoughts...
