Wonderful to meet you, Sommer. I agree with what you say, your analogy is better than mine. I see a man who is strong physically and mentally. My analogy goes something like this. He will give me the freedom I need, but , maybe not all the freedom I want. Maybe it is just me, and, perhaps the analogy I used to use, of giving me a leash w/some slack, but not too long, (boy that sounds really bad!)is not even appropriate as I have grown. But, for me, I NEED A STRONG MAN in my life. I think a man that does not know how to be like Big John and does not know who he is or what he wants opens himself up for being used as a doormat by many people, not just in the dating experience...but this is off the topic! I hate going on a date and being asked "Where do you want to go, what do you want to do. It is ok to make a shared decision, but in the beginning I would rather a man have plans for us, showing me that HE CAN TAKE CONTROL of situations! That keeps me from feeling like this!
