I agree, Claudya. I know my reason for being here is that my last husband died. We had a great relationship...all of those things you mentioned...but it wasn't meant to be for the rest of my life, apparently. I've adjusted to that, and to being single for a while. I'm actually looking forward to enjoying single time again as Spring approaches and I can work in the garden again, and take trail walks with my sons.
Right now, I'm taking each day as it comes...and having hope and optimism for the future. What's meant to be will be, but there are things I can do toward that goal. One step at a time, I'm doing them.
