consider that a cigarette company makes about 1.50 euro on a pack, 50 cents is lost due to the middleman,
in belgium i pay 4.50 euros for a pack 2.50 goes to the goverment, so i think they should pay especialy in UK where I hear horror storys about the prices of sigs....

Nein, why clean gum off the streets? Let the people live amongst it! They put it there.

Filter tips on cigarettes .. Now I would say THAT should be taxed! They dont flatten, they dont rot, they dont do anything .... they just remain solid rolled up bits of smoke-things!

One town here near where I live has put a fine of 80 swiss francs on a FILTER tip butt being discarded in the streets! Excellent! Non-filter ones just disintergrate in the damp.smoking

Should the maker of a bread knife be found guilty of murder if it were used for a murder? I think not. This is not a case were a business should show 'social conscience' but more of people being civilised.

Well, if that is a "dumb remark", and manufacturers should be responsible for their products ..... then car manufacturers should pay for the funerals of people dying in them, or their medical care from accidents, Food manufacturers should pay for people suffering Vitamin and Mineral loss in their bodies ......Manufacturers of things that make fire should pay for anything destroyed by their fire-making .......doh Gad, but there ARE some pretty dumb subjects to debate over!drinking

Me, I just love it when someone steps in fresh chewing gum on pavements ... hilarious!
