JustLonelyMeELGIN, Illinois USA2 Threads 4 PostsI have met a few girls and given them my number. Eventually, they will respond with a text message. It is then that I keep texting, and they don't reply. Am I over texting? Is it possible to scare a girl off that way? Even if they are innocent texts?

It's possible to annoy a girl that way, especially if she doesn't like to text as much as you do. I hate texting, so I'm easily annoyed by it, for example, even from my sons and my friends.

I don't think that's why you're single, I agree with you. Why should men and or women chase each other? If someone shows interest and you're interested respond, if they respond it goes from there if they don't respond let it drop. I think that's only fair, we are all here for a reason not to play high school games.
As for the texting, I am with Dru on that, I am not a texter. I solved the problem I blocked texts from my phone so I can't receive or send them.

i dont think there is anything wrong with texting.
especialy last thing at night to say sweet dreams and first thing in the morning.it also shows that someone is thinking of you,
however if your not getting replys,i would suggest you stop.
they will get in touch with you if there interested.

If it's happenend more than once i would question the content of the texts but some good replies what cyprusrose as said is true it makes you special when someone texts last thing at night or first thing in the morning it always puts a smile on my face when i wake to a nice text but remember texts can be read in more than one way so ask a friend what they read into a particular text keep your initial texts simple friendly and not too deep if you don't get a reply there might be a simple honest explanation for it i.e working nights not in the same time zone aren't allowed their phones at work just text and wait for a reply see if any of what i say or someone else says works for you if you want message me with a sample text and tell me if you know the person or if this is a contact text and i will tell you what i see in what you have wrote see if i can explain where you're going wrong or if it's no fault of yours

hmm, maybe ask them if they prefer you call them or text.
i personally txt like a mad woman, im a single super busy mom & conversations are usually interrupted or ubruptly end.
if youre comfortable, maybe call them once in while too. it would be special if maybe you called to say good night, or say good morning & wish them a nice day.

this is true text messages can be read wrong,and dont text if your inpatient(like me)an immediate reply is not always possible.
