Lagoona22Bugibba, Majjistral Malta161 Threads 11 Polls 10,711 PostsI was at a friend's house the other night, and had the opportunity to watch a few women watching some american TV programme titled something like "The 20 Most Gorgeous Men in The World"....like a countdown-type thang....well, it was just disgusting....the Ooooh's...the Aaaaahs!!....they were almost salivating...and here's the thing....it's all about Big arms, big biceps, the six-pack rack, the sculpted jaw-line...the hair, the rippling thighs...these guys spend their day in a gym...But my point being, does it come as any surprise to realise that women are very bit as superficial as men are??... Maybe more...

No harm in appreciating the human body, male and female. I love to look at both. Having spent many an hour in the gym I really really appreciate the work that some have put into making their bodies healthy and beautiful ( steroid free hopefully)....
If such appreciation makes me superficial....then so be it I guess...
Women appreciate a nice looking man, but generally, in the long run, they are more interested in his mind and heart.

Yes, but the question remains..men (in my opinion) are more inclined to tolerate a really dumb blonde-type, as long as she's gorgeous, because men are interested in trophies, and a beautiful woman is an extension of their power and virility...so essentially it's about power...Are we saying that women are not superficial in a similiar way?

No, women are not ready to toleratue a dumb guy just because he is gorgeous. This is an essential difference in perspective between men and women. For most women, it's the inner man that matters.
