Indyfella: Great news...major layoffs in Florida. Obama's cigar tax of up to 700% is stimulating the economy...well, at least the unemployment line is stimulated. Cigar makers are hurting now...

More of that "change"

Maybe you misunderstood what is meant by change. When taxes and inflation are high enough, the only thing most of us will have is pocket change. But I truly believe that it doesn't matter who the president is; it has been and will continue to happen anyway.

Where does it say that is the plan and we (US) will implement it?

Generally, I agree. McCain wouldn't have been much better...maybe a wee bit.

Fred Thompson missed his chance... frustrated

Well as I understand it...this is only a portion of the speech...but it is indicated here:

"In America, there's a failure to appreciate Europe's leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America's showed arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.

And a partnership means that both work to implement it....thumbs up

I agree...I don't know how we've gotten along without Fidel all these years. Maybe Cuba can avoid the cigar tax. rolling on the floor laughing

I tend to think Europe loves obama because he's seen as weak. Hence, the US comes down to the European level.

JMO.....

I'd like to claim that...but I've heard several tv commentators share that view.

It's time to recognize that the U.S. isn't above any other country...maybe militarily...BUT sooooo what??????? That's what Obama is bringing to the table....might doesn't create peace...Every country has something to offer...NOT just the U.S...that way of thinking is old and doesn't work anymore....thumbs up

Definitely.Anyone who trusts any politician to be honest is a gullible fool.

They don't go into it to help people, they go into the business to line their own pockets.

There's very few anywhere with real conviction.

I know the way to change this though....if their caught fiddling their expenses....hang them.

If they are caught lying to the public.....hang them.

If they are caught implementing policie where they are shall we say defrauding the taxpayer or selling off assetts cheap to their friends.....hang them.

After weve got through the first month we will only have half of them left, then they will repsesent the people who elect hem , and everyone else...or fear hanging.

I'd be a good dictator.....but i would be hanging a few in the first week.very mad

I think you're lucky to live in a democracy - in most states knocking your leader and all your country's main allies wouldn't exactly make you 'Mr Popular'.

Europeans and US citizens have big differences and different political agendas but the way you insult both us and your President is really quite pathetic........ 'come down to the level of the Europeans' -

Who the 'f' do you think you are?
