As long as you wearing what you feel comfortable in, its clean enough for the ocassion, and you look good?

In response to: are we what we wear do clothes tell you anything about a person

I don't think 'it' tells us anything, I think people judge from what a person is wearing. I wear what I feel good in, whether that be casual or dressing up. I like to feel good and if I am happy with what looks back at me in the mirror, I will be satisfied.

Yes i'm sure it does tell you something about the person.

I love wearing blue jeans and mostly black tops.

I'm a "working girl" - not into hours in front of the mirror.

If i can't go wearing jeans - i'll rather stay...

Ironically, I am darning some clothes at this moment. I contemplated doing what we North Americans do best; just throwing them out and buying new things, but decided against it.

Unfortunately my skill does not live up to my intention. I poked a needle through my finger...frustrated

Ouch!

I make dresses, like for my graduation ceremony, it is cheap and the liklihood of another person wearing it, is slim.

Hello gorgeous.

Hello Lovely Lady,

Yes, it did hurt....sort of that cold sharp shot. It was the back of the needle going through my finger as I tried to push it through a tough bit. Not using a thimble. sigh

Like painting and exercising I think sewing is very therapeutic and relaxing. Did you make your dress hand sewing or did you use a machine? My sewing machine is back in Canada alas.

Assuming you are back from your trip to the UK and all is well with your family?

Oh shame on you. No thimble! I use a machine, I have never bought a dress, only ever made them. I made my own wedding dress too, bridesmaid dresses too.

I am back from the UK. Taking some time to breathe, relax and plan my summer. I can feel a trip to Amsterdam coming along.

All is well with Dad, he is recuperating well and being the lovely bombastric chararcter that I adore.

My daughter is having a breakdown about her house buying experience with her man, but they are gettting there. I can feel that those two will spend the rest of their lvies together. He is adorable. Son is in the US finishing his last two years there. All is well with them both.

You?

Excellent. Life in your world is proceeding well it sounds.

House buying....geez, what grief. But satisfying once it is all done. Things are well here. I spent the Easter holiday doing a whole lot of nothing and had a fantastic time doing so.

I am counting on meeting you and some of the other ladies this summer, here, there or places inbetween....
