Mine just has a mind of it's own and shuts off when it wants to. Then I can't get it to come back on.

It never will , it takes a whole min. to load a page, nearly a min. to scrowl down, and nearly a min. to get to catch up with typing. 
and then finally a min. to post and reload a page.

Yes I did , but this computer uses a ancient Celeron processor probable one of the very first ones created, and it is supposed to run like windows 98 I bet, but it is having to run Windows xp. And it don't like that.
