kidatheart: I've been making my own and usually eat it on a piece of pita bread, but have used it as a dip with nacho chips.
I'd be having some right now, but I've used up all the chick peas already. Need to buy a case next time I go grocery shopping.

I might start doing that, but right now I buy the ones from Sabra, I like them better than Athenos brand. I can't have them on pita bread...usually I eat them with Diamond NutThins crackers.

One of the other bartenders showed me a new drink made with Baileys! It's YUMMMMMMMY! It's called a 'dirty girlscout'.

You put in ice, a shot or so of Kahlua, a bit of Baileys (about a shot), a shot of Rumble Minz & fill the rest with milk. Shake it well & pour it in a glass. It tastes like chocolate chip mint!! thumbs up wine

Hummus, I might try...spaghetti sauce I'd rather buy, just too much work for me. The reason I'd start making my own hummus would be finding an organic source for the chickpeas. I eat as much as I can that's organic, and bless the grocery store chains and WalMart for beginning to make it easier. I can buy many vegetables, my favorite apples, and chicken and ground meat that are all organic, as well as tortilla chips made from organic corn, and cereals made from organic (and even non-wheat) grains without going to specialty stores and paying a fortune. Oh, and some gluten-free pastas and a wide variety of gluten-free salad dressings, too.

Sadly, it's because things like celiac disease are on the rise from eating such overprocessed foods that these things are becoming easier to buy, but it benefits those who have developed it.
