It was more about the era I was born into - we were all doing it but our roads diverged, lots of the people I knew went off down the road of hard drugs use, luckily, I stayed with pot smoking - basically, anything that wasnt the big killer, heroin........

Forever ago, yes, and they didn't do anything for me.
A good thing really, a couple of tries and I got bored and left.

I really enjoy being 'not altered' too, I have to be that way most of the time to stay responsible but I refuse to be ashamed of my past or experiences which I greatly enjoyed - I loved experiencing those 'doors of perception' halcyon days......

Cigarettes and Booze are the only "drugs" I have ever touched and Cigarettes are the only thing I still do. Never bothered with any other narcotic as I was able to see the results all to easily looking to others around me as I grew up. Seeing the impact various drugs had on their lives made it very clear that I had no interest what-so-ever in ever trying any of them.

I left school at 15 Shed and when I was 14 some of the girls Id grown up with started hanging out with some older guys and one weekend I went out with them, they were smoking pot but it was 1968 so everyone else was too - I didnt though, I got myself out of there and home as fast as I could - i then watched these friends for a couple of years and they didnt grow extra heads or fail in school or any of that stuff - so finally I had a go too - and dont regret a single moment of it
