TheresMyFriend: I've read other sites that give instructions, and everyone suggest a 5 gal bucket/container. There are so many scams on the Net, and TV...I just wanted to see what the results were before ordering. Some of the site shows you how to do your own... Anyway...good luck with your venture if you do try. If you do...keep me posted.
My son bought 2 of those hangar thingies. Obviously he's trying it.
I've read where you can do the same thing w/a 2 or 5 gallon bucket...much cheaper too.
mylifewithu: I am only on for a few minuetes but I can answer your question. My girlfriend tried this and she grew about 6 upside down tomatoe plants in a 5 gallon bucket. She cut small circle in the bottom and put her plant in and at the top of the bucket she grew cucumbers and peppers. They worked great and had a great harvest. Mid summer it did get to hot for them so they put up a shade above them only where direct sun couldn't scorch them , they still had evening sun and morning sun. And they continued producing till frost time. She is doing it again cause it worked out so great.
I am out of here so Hello and Goodbye everyone, I am off to go mushroom hunting.
i tried last summer to grow tomatos upside down , it grew some and produced a couple of blooms then did nothing. and it had part shade. oh u hunt mushrooms too.

morgan5: have 4 plants the cherry one is doing fine. The other 3 are beefsteak they are flowering but when the flowers die not toms have down what you have said with the exception of nipping out top of plant
Hi morgan it sounds like there id a problem with pollination if you get a tiny paint brush and very gently touch the center of each flower one at a time this should help with pollination
