Marigold Flenminer was not your average girl.
She was known to take local squirrels into her trailer.
The squirrels were never seens again.
Though Marigold had no visible means of income, visible meaning that she did not have a job in the township of Vesterpule, yet she was able to pay her bills and had a lovely sattilite dish stuck to the top of her double-wide.
She dressed as most residents did, in a flowing mu-mu of polyester. Except for the men, as they did not wear flowing mu-mus, but form fitting ones in manly colours such as brown.
It was decided by the locals that Marigold must be getting her funds the unlawful way, like by stealing the local parsnips and selling them on the black market.
Although no-one had any idea what a black market really was. They thought it might have something to do with a flea market without any lights on.
The Sherrif was finally roused from his decade long nap to see to the arresting of the criminal squirrel snatcher and accused parsnip theif.
When the Sherrif politely knocked upon her door, he noticed an odd smell.
"Well, that's not parsnips." He muttered.
He then left a post-it on her door stating that he had come by to arrest her, but seeing as she was not home, he shall call again later in the day.
It was Luciell Bowder who uncovered the mystery of Marigolds money.
She was stuffing the squirrels with pastry and snipping their little tails, then selling them to pet stores as hampsters.
