I used to believe in fairy tales but then reality set in .... so while I'm still romantic I am also realistic because otherwise my heart would be squashed and broken.

I absolutely believe in the magic of love and in my own potential to make fairytales come true.
However, that doesn't translate into superficial pretentious romantic dating of strangers.
I'm talking about real romance. The romance that actually begins after two people fall in love. Prior to that I prefer to keep a level head. Let's not pretend. We both want a loving partner. Let’s not play cat and mouse. Let's both pitch in to make it easy to find each other. Once that magic moment has come true then all is possible.
Romance only just begins after the relationship has been established. Not before. Romantic dating is merely superficial infatuation. If you can get past that to find REAL LOVE then you're on your way to the magic of fairytales. Don't be fooled by artificial romance in the very early going. Most of the time that will just turn out to be a player. After all, that's what they are good at.
Look beyond the initial first impressions for the real romance.

I am a die hard romantic... I still fantasize about the whole knight in shining armour searching for his dark haired maiden...(ok so i am romantic and completely corny).
