no I can't I have a report/ presentation due, no "sorry honey, I have to work a double" or "have to work this weekend."

the down side is their boredom factor, make sure you are not their tool to ease the boredom they have from all that free time.

Bottom line with dating someone who is unemployed is this: Can you live with it and be happy? I would not support someone I just met but would temporarily support someone if we had been dating and I knew that she was a keeper.

kizzy27: what if you thought that down the track ( in the future for the nonaussie speaking population } He or she may still not be able to secure work due to lack of skills & you may have to support him /her if you wanted to enter into a long term relationship?

If it is a lack of skills then maybe not.

But if she can't find the right job matching with her skills then I would support her.

Who do you consider as skilled and who is unskilled.

Da10th: In the past 20 years, the US has become a very bitter place to live. Last 10 years in particular have really seen a decline in the QoL in the US. Especially for those on the bottom.

I know personally, if I could afford it, I'd waive goodbye easily and not even look back.

That sounds sad.dunno
