OK, what I'm about to link to, I feel I have to warn about because some are more sensitive than other and the images might not go down too well.
Here's the intro to the story
"CLEVELAND -- Five years ago, a shotgun blast left a ghastly hole where the middle of her face had been. Five months ago, she received a new face from a dead woman.
Connie Culp stepped forward Tuesday to show off the results of the nation's first face transplant, and her new look was a far cry from the puckered, noseless sight that made children run away in horror."
it is a wonderful story. so sad that her boyfriend did that to her. there is another woman having the same surgery there. the media posted an article about her too. i am proud to say that i work at that hospital.
They did a great job. I think her appearance will continue to improve as additional work is done but more importantly, I'm really glad she's getting back to a more normal life.
