Sommerauer71: Have to agree with you there Lago. It would seem that the EU has that reputation. Shame that, but as it always the regulars then I can see why people would think that.
Tain has been over and she has had nothing other than a warm welcome.
Vinny mentions the thread he started and many of us contributed to that and clearly he still feels that way.
Not much else we can do, we try and still we are accused of being cliquey.
I find it mighty odd.
I think it is different when you just go there and post, kinda unannounced as Lago put it it's like going into a bar where you don't know anybody.
It's natural that people talk to friends they already know
Also, the EU forums are quiet in the evening and certainly when I get home from work. Usually it is Jan and I chatting between ourselves, Ven comes in at different times.
Alot has to do with the time difference and of course poor Ven is at the opposite end to us and sometimes, bless her lovely heart is there alone.
She doesn't feel ignored, we catch up at some point.

Hi Morgan.
Of course it is. Smoky rarely posts here, sometimes she is overlooked if she enters a discussion here, yet she never feels ignored. She prefers it over there, I prefer it over there, somedays, somedays there is more going on here and I like being here.
If people feel ignored and step up and say over there, instead of here, then we can make sure that we address that.
We do.
Also there is less turnover in the EU, people who are there have been there for a long time.
Like yourself. I like it when people come over and join the discussions.

I think that you get nice and not-so-nice in ALL the forums, not just in some. I don’t think people are being territorial towards new-comers, just perhaps that day there were a few more “not-so-nice´s” on. It´s just like real life, I guess. Good uns and not so good uns
Sommerauer71: I don't think you were ignored at all in the thread you started, Vinny.
But then people's definition of being ignored is different. Your thread was an excellent discussion.
Your right Sommer. I was not ignored in that thread. Maybe it was the subject matter that helped. And I agree it was a good discussion.
I did feel like that before I started the thread, hence the reason. I did find it a bit strange in that thread though where some people who were regulars posted to each other and not addressed the OP..........
Either way it was my experience and I do think you commented (or it could have been Jan) that a few people felt that way so maybe there is that perception of the EU.
Its in no way a criticism as its just my experience and there are plenty of people to talk to.
Either way I personally think the analogy used about joining 5 people at the bar who know each other is not quite apt for this instance. Either way if I was one of the 5 I would have made the person feel welcome.
As I said in the thread I started in EU on this issue its really no biggie for me as there are plenty of people to talk to on here and I have thick skin.

Hi All Well I must say my first time over at the EU wasn't too bad, we'll see what further missions bring like starting an actual thread. Then I'll be off to try out the others. My only tip so far is make sure and bring gifts of rum for the natives(mangoes seem to work too, I am yet to try out the trading beads)Who knows maybe I will grow on some people kinda like a weed. Will give full reports on my findings when the mission is complete.

Don't think it's that as much as alot of the posters have been there a long time,
there are not so many posters, and quite close friendships have been formed, new people just get overlooked.

I hear it all the time, but have no personal experience -
entered EU just once when someone asked me to view one particular post.
Hi Laura............
Hope your well.............
I do know people who have joined in and found it to be very friendly.
What I dont understand about CS however is why there is no Forum for the US............I do understand there are state Forums but why none for the US.............
