Interesting to me is how a person thinks they can use the photo of another member and expect not to get called out. A member emailed me and sounded like a great guy and his photo was nice too. After responding to the email, I came across another profile and there was the same photo of the same man. However, the second profile had more than one photo and it was obviously his real photo. If you are going to be dishonest like that, you will not have much luck finding anyone...If you don't want to show your real face, DO NOT POST A PHOTO!

I had a man e-mail me a while back and he had broken English although he said he lived in the U.S. all of his life.
He looked very familiar and it just so happened I was watching T.V. (Entertainment Tonight) and saw him on the Red Carpet at the Oscars.laugh
I told him so and I never saw or heard from him again.wave

Hi! I fully understand your concerns. However, you have to understand one thing. We have a few groups of people who behave that way because of various conditions and situations they are in, such as:

Pathological lying
Naivety
Stupidity or just being terrible as decision makers
Sever mental imbalance
Freakishness

dunno

Ummm, definitely...at the very least. I have confronted the user and blocked him from further contact. I also notifed the member whose photo was used, so that he could be aware of it.

That's probably because some people here are seriously looking for a partner not scammers. Nothing mysterious about that.

You are absolutely right. I was reluctant to join for this very reason, but working the shift I work and not being into the bar scene, limits my ability to meet people. I am thinking about cancelling my account here. I would rather be alone than take a chance on getting involved with someone who is dishonest.

Don't give up! I met someone from here. Even though things didn't work out for us, with the distance and all, you can meet someone genuine here.

I met one of those (my first date from the net). He was in reality, about twenty years older, creepy and also had a limp to top it all ( no offense to the physically disabled). I almost called one of my gerontologist friends to feed him super and a tablet.

doh
