Interesting question...I don't think that masculinity has been overshadowed by male femininity as much as it has been evolving from a Neanderthal masculinity and becoming a masculinity that is not so selfish, a bit more of a sensitive or aware masculinity.
offshorewinds: Geographically speaking Polarb....would that have anything to do with your reply ?
"Yes.Times have changed and women here are no longer silent. It's not until 20-30 years ago that we as women stood for what we believe in and what we are capable of.With all this new technology and education, we're coming to understand that we're just as capable as men."

Yes, and men are just as capable as women. They have learned to cook and clean. They know, that it is a release to have emotions. They know, the power they have now. They know, the job does not end at 5. We are becoming more equal everyday. Good work, men.

Good point...So could it be consquered that masculinity is an outdated/Neanderthal thought/word slowly evolving towards the sensitive more femine side ?....hence male femininity ?

"We as a people are so far back in technology that we've realized in the past 20-30 years that it's ok to stand for what we believe in and what we are capable of,as women."

Good God I hope not...I don't mind being a little more understanding and a little less rough around the edges, but I certainly have no desire to think or become a woman or gay man.
