Alas it is not the women I know...it is through observation, transporation, conversation, media coverage, etc etc...do not get my personal feelings mixed up on this thread...its your feelings....

Whoa, there .... All I asked you to do is explain a little further how you came to the conclusion that women want to be masculine.

And you still haven't done so. You say it is an observation. Well what have you observed women doing or saying that makes you say they are becoming masculine.

Goddess4u: Aren’t we just getting introduced to our "other” sides. Some men are making an effort to get in touch with their feminine sides and vice-versa. Will we all end up androgynous in a couple of millenniums? Who knows?
THat would without a doubt be "Utopia" but....a walk on the wild side..yep that will have to suffice...and yes women have earned the right to scratch their ..... as men have earned the right pout and, flick their hair back (if they have any) in one totally sensual motion......but,and its a bloody big one....where and what will the children play with.....

I'm sorry but I never heard of the word masculinefemine.

I probably should get out of this thread cause I'm not understanding what you're looking for.

I thought you meant women are changing because they are doing what was once perceived as male only jobs.

At one time only men drove motorcyles and now women do too. Is that what you mean by masculinefemine?

At one time only men worked in construction.

I think some of the others in the thread understand you better than I do. Doesn't mean either one of us is wrong, just means that we think differently. cheers

offshorewinds: ..Bruno...I was'nt hoping for any particular answer....the speed of equality/ as mentioned is greater than the natural occurence...media highlightens/intensives this process ....to the point where the roles are being interacted and reversed....check out your local highway....who drives like a crazy man ?....

I control what I can and deal with the rest as best I can.

I suppose we can agree on media trying to change things. Plenty of saps out there willing to dance along with their tune too.

I don't really care about gender roles. I live my life as I see fit and figure everyone else will too. If someone is bothered by what another is doing they can walk away or, if there is damage being done, deal with the problem.

This being the beauty of an international forum.....All nations exchanging thoughts and words....We are here to express ourselves whether our thoughts are...negative or positive...clear or clouded...I am perhaps one of the clouded ones...but I shine inside.....I should hold my thoughts to myself.

Funny that there are 64 replies here and 4 on the EU forum. I will just copy and paste my reply here:

I think in some ways yes. However I believe it's very typical of deep transitions where everyone has to find a new place in the network of humanity. Women have emancipated, now it's also natural that they go to the other extreme before they find a place where they feel comfortable. All evolution works that way. Obviously men who have after all been in charge of all the so-called important things in life are now at a loss and need to readjust: a. understand and respect women's need for change b. explore who they really are c. find new ways of relating to women b. regain balance and belief in their manliness and find new ways of expressing it so that it's more in tune with modern equality c. dare face their own "feminine" side and integrate it in a healthy way.

Did anyone say they don't want to grow as people? Ahum... I'm sorry but I don't think we can avoid it! But hang in there, I'm sure new order always ensues out of chaos!

No you shouldn't. I don't keep my thoughts to myself unless I think it will offend or hurt someone. I'm probably one of the weirdest people in the forums. I'm opininated, and have a history of many problems. The folks on here pretty much know what I'm about. I think the more you are in the forums the more people can read you, how you express yourself and then know how to react to you. When I say "you" I don't mean you in particular.

I've never seen you before so please don't feel bad if we didn't understand each other.

Funny thing is, I've been in 3 or 4 threads today and it's been the same thing in each of them....a misunderstanding of some sort and I'm going to take a good deal of the blame because with me not feeling well I don't have the patience I normally have.

I think what is important is that people don't argue and show disrespect. You haven't done that and neither have I. We are adults that know how to handle a conversation of different opinions.

I look forward to see you again in the threads handshake
