I'm looking for right guy, and i don't care about his citizenship, my neighbour married a Swedish guy and they have a happy family. Should I marry a foreigner guy in EU, UK, US or Asian? or I may marry with an Islam guy and and come over there and tried to turn into his religion, wear those big hot woolen clothes down to the feet? I think nationality is not really an issue as much as culture. I know lots of successful international relationships - mostly, however, within Europe and the Western culture, or with people originally from other cultures but living and working in the western culture BEFORE they got married.
What I think can be very problematic, is for one party to uproot from their homeland and move to another country just because they married a national of that country. They then land in a strange country and strange culture, with no reason to be there other than being married to XYZ.
Finding a partner isn't like buying a car - "these are my requirements, so should I buy a Toyota or a BMW? A Japanese or a German?" - the partnership has to work in the context it's going to be lived out. You can love someone to bits, but if they are your only existence, you'll be pretty miserable pretty quickly.

I was married to a man from Northamerica for 17 jears and lived in his country more then 8 jears.For me it was not a problem and I would move again for the right man.It can work if you speak the same language.
