immanuelle: Oh Sass! I cannot imagine.... I lost my first husband in a car accident. The mourning and grieving period was hard and long, but inside, I always felt terribly sad for his mother knowing that it must have been that much harder for her to lose a child. I am so sorry for your loss. Missing them never quite goes away.
Imma i lost my daughter the same way..thank you so much for ur understanding. and im so sorry for your loss i can imagine how you felt and feel bouquet hug

immanuelle: Hi Ama, G'day to you. I teach special needs children (primarily children on the autistic spectrum). They are mostly very very loving children, but sometimes can be quite aggressive and violent. I didn't see this moment coming and got bitten.

Have a fantastic time in France. Be safe.

Hugs,

Imma

I didn't see this one before, sorry.

Thanks, Imma. I'll be with a friend whose company I enjoy, so I hope we'll have a great time as usual. I think that's the secret of good vacation - good company. I never travel on my own except for job-related reasons.

Talking about jobs, it must require a lot of patience what you do. I admire people who have that virtue because it is not one of my strong points.

Take care and tot ziens teddybear

I had a good day!

I made it to the ferry safely, then the airport, then hired a car in the UK and drove down to Wales with just one stop and saw my son............. we did some shopping and then some gardening and played with his puppy - a border collie called 'Frejya'.

Visited friends nearby and Stefan has invited me and my son Douglas to go and play golf.......... first I go see the doctor for a 'knock-out' pill so I'll be able to sleep 10 to 16 hours tonight.

Last night I slept from about 1 a.m. until 4 p.m. - TWICE what I've been able to sleep in the past couple of weeks, but I know my body must need to really have total rest if I am going to regain my mental/emotional health.

I honestly thought I'd have to hospitalised, but now believe that medication and counselling alone should 'do the trick' - I certainly hope so!

thumbs up

Thanks very much.......... I already feel so much at peace compared to the last five and a half years since I heard the dreadful news that my mother has just been smitten by a massive stroke and wasn't expected to survive the next 24/48 hours.

The past years worrying and caring for my parents - seeing my father dying in front of my eyes a little every day etc are now a thing of the past - time now for me to look after ME and heal from all the hurt and recent trauma.

I'm so glad I didn't cancel my flight - I almost did as I thought I wasn't well enough to travel.

I'll not fly back to Malta until Monday, 29th - by which time things should be even better and there should be a plan to survive the next six months AND see some positive results.

Regarding losing the love of my life - at least I have thousands of very happy memories that can't be taken away and all I can hope and pray is that she can have a wonderful future and maybe find love with a good man who doesn't have dangerous unresolved emotional issues............ I only wish my dear mother had gone into a nursing home a couple of months ago and then maybe I'd have not cracked up under the strain and conflict between my duty as a son and my desire for personal happiness.

Oh well, it took a crisis to finally get my mother to allow me to be 'free'............ maybe I'll one day enjoy this 'freedom' instead of punishing myself with guilt.

Thanks for the kindness you showed me. I appreciate it.

It was much worse than I’ve dreaded and much better than I’ve anticipated:

I’ve forgotten all English words I’ve known…

but!!!

I’ve been understood nonetheless

The wine was fabulous! Then I stuck my head around the door of the Captain's local and there he was propping up the bar trying to solve a conundrum given to him by a friend.
