It was Fahrenheit 451 in my classroom. The fan just blew hot air around. Bodies and tempers were very high. sigh But, just woke up from a 10 minute power nap and am headed to Scheveningen beach for a company party, so things are looking up. Hope all have a lovely evening. wave

My day was a complete disaster!

This morning I was rushing around delivering keys to a friend to water my plants while I´m away, throwing out unused food in the fridge, visiting the bank, and packing my suitcase for six weeks with a measly 15k to play with....damn Ryanair!!!

I arrived to the airport somewhat frazzled, and stood in a long queue to check in my suitcase. Pre-printed boarding card in hand I walked through to the terminal security checks. "Do you speak Spanish Senora" "Si dime" I replied. Your boarding card is for the 5th, today is the 3rd...in Spanish of course.

Oh my god! I raced down to the check in desk again and explained what had happened in unintelligible Spanish I´m sure. Then went to see if I could change my flight...no! Back to check-in where they arranged for my suitcase to be taken off the plane.

A twenty minute wait for my suitcase, then the journey back to Murcia.

I am so stupid. blushing

I just don´t understand how I made this mistake. I´m a seasoned traveller, and it´s never happened before.,,,honest!

Hi Jan My day has been great!

Lucky you! wave

I´m afraid I´ve had enough of 40 degrees. I want a bit of the UK weather.

to make matters worse, I was sat next to a Spanish man on the coach taking me back to Murcia and he was asking me about my holiday! He thought I was returning from my hols.

I lied through my teeth and said it was great. Now I´m definitely going to Hell. crying

I don't think 40 would be bad right now, it's cool and rainy here. Need someone to put my frozen feet on to warm them up, or are only women allowed to get away with that?laugh

Once that had happened to me: I came to the very last examination a day too early. The way there was a story for itself. Was prepared as never before… and still they didn’t let me to write it. Those cruel people.

My baby-girl, when I’ve told her, had a good time on my account explaining me everything about the space-time vector and such convenient invention as a calendar… But few people who weren’t that close family said that it’s a usual sign of stress.

Try to relax, everything will happen in due time.

Thanks Tulefel.

I don´t think I´m stressed, but I have had a crazy few weeks, work related, so perhaps there is some truth in what you say.

Today I have the day to myself, and my suitcase is all packed of course ready for the flight tomorrow laugh

Hmmm what shall I do?

laugh I bet you could!

As long they don´t require remembering dates. frustrated

I think I´ll go for a walk and sit in the park with a book, all on my lonesome, before it gets too hot.

My friends are all away at the beach for the weekend, and they think I´m in the UK.

How are the baggy shorts coming along? Getting used to them now?

Well actually.....I came to a compromise that suits me well.....the area where I sit has become a little too crowded with students and holidaymakers....so I have found another area which is away from the madding crowd...it's kinda on the edge, the waves lap a few feet from my head...and I can do the speedo thing there without giving some old dear damp underwear....(or some young thing nausea...lol).....only problem is, the rocks are extremely jagged, so access into and exit is a hassle...I've already cut my feet a little...and you know how cuts don't heal in seawater...
You fly 2moro, no?

Oh, Lago.. you should not mind so much what we say about the speedo thing. You should stay where the crowd is, especially when you're going swimming on your own, so when a white shark starts to attack you, somebody can come to your rescue..

I must admit a baggy thing to swim with is not very practical..laugh .. it's like swimming with kimono on... yikes! laugh
