rohaan: Honest to Pete--you are missing what I am saying. It's quite ok if you let it go--really.
I was just curious for your response. I thought this was an open dialogue here? I like to hear different perspectives. I'm not going on a personal attack, just want to exchange some ideas as to open some doors of perception or confirm my subjective/objective ideas on some things.

Heck, I told you you were correct. Want my shirt, too?
Faith is different for everyone its a personal beleif In my case I have learned to have faith in myself and my creator oh and I trust my Dog and have faith in him because he is pretty much the only one who has never betrayed me.
"to trust oneself when all men doubt you, and make allowance for the doubting, too" r.kipling So, help me understand--it seems you say "Faith" cannot always be counted on, as it were (agreed) yet quote that the lack thereof is disturbing? I offer you my undivided attention. (the http. sites are a waste of time--I do not have access, but thanx.
rohaan: Just wanting ideas/observations about faith. Like other ideals, i.e,hope, love, etc... it's hard to pinpoint it. Will share what I think when I hear some feedback. Not sure what I think, I do try to turn doubt into faith (don't mean to sound trite)
Interesting you should ask such a question. What do you have faith in??? Will the letter you posted arrive, do you actually think about it once it's posted? How about driving along the road, don't most have faith the other person will not cross the line? We spend most of our day acting in faith, we just don't call it that. Try not to discredit doubt so easily, doubt is a warning signal. Have you heard the expression "When in doubt - don't"? Doubt can also be called the "Original Sin", most harm one does to oneself is due to doubting ones inner heart, maybe that's where you're looking for faith. Good Luck

It was a link to "The Empire Strikes Back" with Darth Vader doing the choke by using the Force while saying "I find your lack of faith disturbing". Lighten up old timer...

Interesting you should reply to such a question. I have a spiritual faith. Sometimes the letter I post arrives, sometimes not. No I do not think about it once posted. Yes, most drivers have faith the other driver will not cross the line. Yes, you are right we spend most of our day acting in faith. I do not discredit doubt easily. Yes, I have heard the "when in doubt" expression. I agree with it. I admit I do not understand your comment about doubt/original sin. Does not compute. Good luck to you, as well.

Faith is defined by Webster's as(SIC)"having confidence in a proposition despite an abscense of evidence." Nietzche called Faith,"an invention of those afraid of knowing."
Faith works both ways. Faith gives us meaning. Faith can be clouded if it's powered by false desires or unreal expectations. Faith is a belief not based on proof. I illustrated some relevant points, and you did not get it. Hence your silly analysis that only has opinion. Nice chattin with ya
this was a good post. I like it that you think over your idea before putting it down. Being spontaneous is endearing-sometimes-but not schmart other times, that adage "know how deep the creek is before diving in" sort of thing. It's my nap time-us old timers, you know.
