I'm new to the site. I have some photos up and I did allow them to be rated. I took the rating option off because I felt it was too "meat market" like. For the most part, i was getting decent rating from guys (and gals even) in my age group but was getting really slammed by younger guys. I guess it is a self esteem thing but it just seemed like a lot of rating drive bys with no intent to even get to know the person.

You can turn it off. When the comments got brutal, I just shut it off. You can not someone's opinion of you bother you. If you are happy with you then... You know carry on. JMHO

Disregard the ratings. They're so predictable.

Hello all, my name is Cindy and I'm new here as well. This seems to be a great site, I've been checking out the forums and they are pretty interesting, some are very funny. Most everyone seems to be very friendly and welcoming.
If I were you I'd turn my ratings back on and ignore the young guys comments. If they can take the time to cut a person down, seems like they don't have much of a personality...or social life for that matter.

Welcome to CS! I have had my ratings and comments turned off since I joined. I agree, I considered it a "meat market" type thing, and rather juvenile. JMO on it, so I don't rate and can't be rated. I don't need others to stroke my ego or slam it. hug

You probably should be careful about the cow comments. Some people consider them to be sacred. I know I do...nothing like a nice cut of prime rib for dinner.

Welcome to C.S. handshake I hope you enjoy
you stay and have loads of fun.
Yet,I don't see that we,as members should
be labelled in the area of a "meat market"
just because we have our photos rated.
It's an option to us,we either have our
photos rated or we change our settings,
it's simple as that.
