Thank you for the suggestion of hiding the profile but I am taking it a step futher. I've decided to leave to site permanently. I'll be deleting my profile as opposed to hiding it.
When to give up looking? I'm approaching that point now. I'm finding it hard to be on here, not sure this is the right way to go about meeting people. I'm finding it hard right now to want to go participate in activites where I would meet people. I guess just too many other things going on in my life that have me unsure of myself, myself worth, my future.
Unmeployment claims don't refelct the tur amount of people who are unmployed though. People who are unemplyed and whose unemployment insurance has run out are not counted, neitehr are recent graduates looking for their first job, nor are diplaced housewives who for one reason or anotehr can no longer stay home but need to find a job. None of these are counted when looking at unemployment claims. I though added +1 to the count in June whne I filed my claim
Those Presidents without military experience often appoint Secretaries of Defense like Robert McNamara (who was hated by every US military person I know of including myself) The Vietnam war was micro managed by Lyndon Johnson and Robert "Strange" McNamara instead of letting the military do what they needed to do. Dollars meant more to McNamara than lives and no he never took responsibility for his actions. He (McNamara) looked at Vietnam from a fiscal standpoint (cost/benefit analysis) and not strategic objectives or human costs. McNamara was responsible for changing enlistment requirements to allow formerly unqualified candidates (based on intelligence/skills qualifications tests) to enlist in the military. He never took responsibility nor acknowldged his mistakes or misjudgements.
I think you are correct on that. Jimmy is a wonderful person, does great things with Habitat for Humanity and elimination of voter fraud in overseas elections...but as a president he sucked.
Try New York and the circus called the NY State Senate. The whole lot of them need to be recalled, Republicans and Democrats alike. Call it a coup, a hostile takeover or whatever. All it has manged to do is shut down the legislative process.
I'm new to the site. I have some photos up and I did allow them to be rated. I took the rating option off because I felt it was too "meat market" like. For the most part, i was getting decent rating from guys (and gals even) in my age group but was getting really slammed by younger guys. I guess it is a self esteem thing but it just seemed like a lot of rating drive bys with no intent to even get to know the person.
More to it then getting drunk...but you are right....stay home and get drunk, leave the great craic for the rest of us who appreciate it, the people, the scenery, the culture.

I must like Ireland. I've been there twice since Christmas 2009 and planning a third trip. Great craic!!! Music, fun, friendly people, wonderful scenery in the west (I was in Galway and Clare)
