Hey everyone, I had a call this morning from our good fiend Rusty Roberto the Galivanting Knight of Gozo .... from his hospital bed!!!
I think he is very afraid of uncovering his sane side Actually, I like his Insane side - he is a delightful person!
He has his laptop with him, just having some slight malfunction about getting it operating without dimming the lights and upsetting other things in the hospital.
He sends his regards to you all, and says he is delighted that all the nurses are female, young(ish), and cute looking (whatever thats supposed to mean )

Only if you use it the toilet paper that is --- one of d loonies may have eaten that to. But insosaying sounds like a all right kinda place and with myself a bit short at times will keep it in mind as a place to stay if I ever make it over there

I negotiated internet access three times per day and got my laptop 'fixed' with a vodaphone 'stick' thingy so I can stay in touch with the outside world!
Today I was allowed out for the first time this morning and went home and fed the cat and got some clean clothes and shopped for goodies as the food here is total crap.
I'm allowed out for four hours per day.
I was only out for two hours - so I'll go out again at four p.m. and wander into Victoria and take a coffee outside a cafe and watch the festivities starting to get under way that culminate this weekend in the feast of St George - tens of thousands of Maltese will come over from the main island for the weekend to join in the festivities but I have to back in the hospital by six p.m. each evening so I won't see the best of the feast with the bands and fireworks etc............ never mind!

Gosh, but that place sounds SO nice ..... Wish I could get myself booked into a place like that ..... how groovy! I just dont know how to act Insane though. Is it hard to learn how? The real nutters here think I'm a doctor sent to spy on them.......... and are hatching plans to 'do away' with me!
Actually the abandoned kid who is here........ all the other patients, includung myself, have donated money to get him a DVD player; even mentally ill people can be charitable.
I rushed back to the hospital in the burning heat this afternoon with two large pizzas to share with the other patients and nurses - cut into eight slices with ten patients and six nurses meant three slices for me and one for everybody else (on average)......the 16 year-old lad scoffed about six slices no problemo!
As the sun was going down I went out for a cigarette and walked round the perimeter - with 360 degree views of the whole island - totally beautiful and so tranquil that I felt very priviledged to be alive and witness such an awesome sunset.
Life can be good if you mentally switch over from negative to positive............... but then how much more wonderful to share something like that hand in hand with the love of your life - right?

Well, actually, if you just walked around on the roof of your own house you`d have a 360 degree view of the whole island, or almost ......
Roberto ... you gonna have the whole of CS in that nut-house one of these days .... We ALL would like to be hand in hand with the love of our life and watching an awesome sunset, except we all not priviledged enough to get free entry to the only lunatic asylum on Gozo! How many inmates would they require from the EU to qualify for a 2 week free bedrest?..and HOW many can they take? You could run a booking office from there?
