mike69spain: There are a number of clues to that fact, actually
Hi Mike
Is it the always writing in caps?
The fact he uses to many emoticons?
Generalised subject matter?
How come he responds to precise questions then?
Someone has to be sitting typing at the computer that is generating this I think.
I used to be on sites that had computer generated answers from bots, but it wasn't like this. They were set phrases and answers, nothing personal to individuals..........

I really am interested in how a person might distinguish.....

First - I do not believe it is computer made, it is just a way of pulling a leg
But - because the questions are repeated in a certain way, with very little real interaction from the OP, where the follow up Qs from him are often far from original Q or even the reply to which he reacts, it is very much looking like a software AI. Such software is very advanced today, reacting to not only keywords, but order and combination with other words or superlatives.
In fact, such a software would be better in this than Gilly!

Wow, things have really advanced in the last 10 years then.
mike69spain: That's 10 years programming, sampling, analyzing, debugging and then back to programming.
10 years, 11 months a year, 22 days a month, 8 hours a day.
That's a lot of programming
Yep, they did
I remember my son saying once that if you blinked you'd miss something int he programming world, but it is hard to imagine just how far things have some.

Did you try the built in, but never mentioned, voice recognition in your PC?
