Okay, let's see what I can do with this. I need to use hawk as a subject matter and I haven't done any poetry in motion for a long time. Here goes nothing!
To watch the hawk take flight,
The grace and speed,
It goes up into the sunlight,
And down it soars to get it’s prey,
The wonders of nature,
With all of sights, sounds, tastes, feels and smells,
It was down upon you I fell,
My heart was hit with a arrow deep,
Into my soul is where it will keep.

A hawk after the storm, still strong and unafraid,
but feeling cold, with no shelter around him
I watch it from a distance, analyze it's every move
I approach it and to my surprised it came to me
I looked it over, it had a few minor wounds
carefully I touched it, looking the hawk in the eyes
him seem to trust me
I whisper to it softly, the storm is over now,
I tried to let it go, but it kept coming back to me
I gently set it free, and thought that was the end of it
That night I went to sleep and in my dreams
the hawk returned to me
I understood then a part of him was still with me
The hawk from up above, is watching over me.
