People starting threads to say they're leaving is bad advertising for the site, even if there's no fighting in the thread.

Seeing the number of people that have left the site, some possibly for good, I can see the mods wanting to do as much damage control as possible. laugh

well i do think this one will be pulled though its not a mod bashing thread it question their judement and decision even in a circumspect way by wondering why it was pulled ..........
so mods when you do pull it can you exsplain why please just for curiousity sake if nothing else not questioning your judgemen but their is a lot of puzzlement over the reason behind it noticed my thread disapeared also at same thime

I agree with what you have just posted,
but jimbo didnt say he was leaving CS,he said he wasnt
going to post in the forums again and explained his reasons for his decision...which were inoffensive to anyone.wave

It's still putting the site in a negative light, even if he's not leaving.

There are people that would like to join in the discussions in the forums, but after viewing the negativity that's been displayed on the site, they don't, and I can't blame them.

I even hid my profile because of it, it's just no fun reading it all, let alone joining in. You can only ignore so much before you've had enough.

Well said. Negativity is not attractive for the novice poster. To allow healthy flow circulation of posts with the established and newbies it needs to be welcoming and positive.
