It's easy to book a flight over... it's only the flights back to Australia that are booked solid.

I've never been to NZ. However in 2007 I went to Melbourne and had the privelidge of staying with my friend while she had cancer treatment here in Aus.
I stayed at a hotel that all the NZers stay at during their radium here. I would have to say that everyone I met was fantastic and made me feel so welcome.
Mind you, they CAN party!! and when they do they would all argue about their heritage and family trees.....
