morgan5: Hi petal good to see you Alot of smokers i know are considerate to non smokers, and will automatically move away. I agree you can't passive drink but the effect of alcohol can still effect the lives of others.
eg, here last week a drunk driver drove his car home, he killed his wife, and 4 people in the car he hit.
May sound a bit extreme, but this kind of thing is happening everyday.
Yes, thats true..
Im a smoker, and I always try and be considerate to non smokers. I have absolutely no problem in going outside for a cig, or standing in a specific smoking area if Im out in a bar.
I drove home once, a long time ago, and shouldnt have done. I felt fine, as we often do, and felt perfectly capable of driving, but ended up driving my car over the side of the road and ended up with a dislocated shoulder and the front of the car hanging over the edge of a 10 foot ditch. I scared myself so badly that I have NEVER drunk and driven again, and will NEVER DO SO AGAIN. Taught me a good lesson.

Honestly as I hate to even tell this tho I can be honest , Showing that I have been there, I have been in about 5 accidents from alcohol and the first was MEDICATING after my Brothers Murder, I rolled a JKeep 4 times end over end, and was in Critical Cond, at 16, I DO KNOW what it does,,,,
I am proud to sat taht I still have not had one Drink in Almost 6 yrs.....
And put Cicarettes down after smoking for 35 yrs, almost 5 months ago quit smoking, Hi Petal, nice to see u
morgan5: Thank you for posting Laura and i am sorry for your loose
I to think a drink when you go out is fine and it is the habitually drinkers are a huge problem.
I smoke and do enjoy it but if for some reason i can't, it doesn't bother me.
I do feel that Smokers have become social lepers, to the extent business's are suffering because of it which i disagree with, when Alcohol is causing so many problems within society
I hear you, M.
Yes smokers are put in a hard position at work and in public places.
But I think, some of it was necessary because a lot depends on a person.
Some smokers have respect for others, some don't.
My father never smocked in a house or around us kids.
But what about this kind of approach towards others? My daughter has a friend, this girl had such a hard time growing up with her father smocking around her everywhere: in a house, with her in a car when driving. All the time. She was vomiting every time they where in a car, she tried covering her face with a sweater or whatever was handy, but her father would tell her to stop this show. She is 23 today and having respiratory problems. The girls were very good friends (still are), I was in car with them only once, even I felt noziated(sp.). Never let my child to ride with them after that.
